Nigeria Maritime University notice on resumption of academic activities

 

That is to tell employees and college students that, the Nigeria Maritime College, Okerenkoko, which was shut down for educational actions owing to college students unrest, in March, 2021, has been scheduled to reopen for educational actions, as follows:

(i) Resumption/Return of College students: Sunday, ninth Could, 2021;

(ii) Lectures/revision resumes on Monday, 10th Could 2021;

(iii) Examinations (2nd Semester of 2019/2020 Session) to begin on Monday 24th Could 2021;

(iv) Any pupil who’s but to pay his/her faculty charges ought to accomplish that, as no defaulting pupil can be allowed into campus;

2. I’m to additional inform you that, arising from the violent college students unrest that accounted for wanton

destruction of properties and breakdown of legislation and order within the College, between seventh and eighth of March, 2021, Administration, has, upon thorough analysis, determined that, viz:

(i)All returning college students shall decide to STUDENT’S UNDERTAKING OF GOOD CONDUCT, to be executed within the prescribed format;

(ii) Every returning pupil shall pay a Restitution Levy of N26,500, to cowl the price of damages attributable to the violent unrest, and present proof of such fee, as a prerequisite for entry to Campus;

three. And, that, all funds shall be made to NIGERIA MARITIME UNIVERSITY CBN ACCOUNT NO. 0240522761018 (by REMITA), with particular Objective, as follows:

a.College charges: All College charges to be paid to ‘SCHOOL FEES ACCOUNT’

b.Restitution Levy: fee pertaining to Restitution ought to be paid to ‘CAUTION FEE ACCOUNT’
